The Ottawa Hospital Foundation exists to inspire and enable our community to support improvements in patient care and equipment at The Ottawa Hospital, and groundbreaking research at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute.

The Ottawa Hospital is the largest acute care hospital in Eastern Ontario. As such, it is a critical community asset that touches the lives of people in every neighbourhood and in every corner of our region. With your support, we can help ensure the Hospital is ready for you and your loved ones when they need it most.

Did you know that The Ottawa Hospital:

• Is one of the largest acute care hospitals in the country and has three campuses: Civic, General and Riverside.
• Affects the lives of one in two people in Eastern Ontario every year.
• Has over 908, 000 outpatient visits to the Hospital every year, including over 124,600 visits to the Emergency Department.
• Cared for 120,000 cancer patients through The Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre and 6,000 new cancer patients will be referred to The Ottawa Hospital this year alone.
• Partners include The Ottawa Hospital Research Institute and the University of Ottawa Eye Institute.

About The Ottawa Hospital Foundation:

• Every dollar raised by The Ottawa Hospital Foundation stays here in the community.
• The Foundation's administrative costs are among the lowest in Canada - 11 per cent (five-year average).
• The government covers important operating costs, but we need to build on this funding to give our community the latest lifesaving equipment, the most up-to-date facilities, and access to vital research that may one day lead to cures for diseases such as cancer and diabetes.
• You can designate your gift to a particular project or area of research, or allow the Foundation to direct the money to where the Hospital needs it most.

The Ottawa Muslim Association (OMA) was established in 1966 and has since become the largest muslim congregation in the National Capital Region.

As the community has grown and prospered, many feats have been accomplished. A prayer facility ( Ottawa Mosque ) has been built and a library , funerary services and an Islamic school have been established. In conjunction with the City of Ottawa and provincial and federal levels of government, the OMA has promoted the growth of muslim and non-muslim organizations and charities.

It is the OMA's primary objective to further the growth of education and the expansion of various programs within the community. This can best be achieved with the involvement and cooperation of community members such as yourselves.
